The Joy Of Moving

Image
The other day Coach Kawamura recommended a book. It was Karada wa, Watashi wo Utsusu Mazakai dearu written by Harunori Kono. Lately the buzzword between myself and Coach Kawamura has been Ma . (meaning space in time, interval or distance.) From last year I attended a seminar held by Professor Takahashi of Biwako Seikei University and read works written by him as well. As I was experiencing personally the peculiarities of movement when I found this book and was instantly excited to see what it had to say. This book talks about ‘The relation of caution and movement’ ‘Actual feeling’ ‘Making use of the five senses’ ‘Words and the body’ ‘Space’ and so on. There are many things the book explains that can be used in our daily lives so I highly recommend you read it! Well, The practice running sessions we started to hold from this year have been going very well. Here is what our session on February 25th looked like. ‘Running’ is just moving your body forward but when you start to ...

TAC Practice Session

We just held the first TAC practice session at Azai Fureai Ground the other day. Even though it was cold enough outside that some snow flurries could be seen, everyone was excited to be able to use the lit up tartan track.  Everyone followed the custom plan that Coach Kawamura prepared for them and enjoyed training at their own pace. Being a beginner, I was encouraged by the other members who were training so earnestly.  I had a great time learning from Coach Kawamura about hip movement, foot placement, and spine flexibility in regards to running and walking.  Our next practice session will be on   February 18th (Thursday) @ 19:30-20:30. Attendance Fee: 500 yen for Adults, 300 yen for children 15 years old or younger.        *No attendance fee for children under 12 years of age.        *The practice session may be cancelled due to poor weather.   Feel free to contact us if you are inte...

No Ipponba-geta, No Life !

Image
I’m always so grateful to our T-FOOT members in the private and professional sector. The T-FOOT official ambassador Mr. Takemura’s gallery page has now opened! He is planning on uploading pictures of ways to enjoy improving health with ipponba-geta in the house, at work, on walking trails, on the coast and lakeshore. I hope it can give you some ideas on how to enjoy your own pair of T-FOOT sandals! -Kobayashi

Health And Life

Image
Happy New Year. I hope that you all continue to support the T-foot brand this year.   On a personal note, this year my family was involved in a big accident and this led me to think about the importance of health and life.   Last year all of society was overshadowed by the covid virus and it seems like this year will be similar. However the accident made me realize just how important it is to not take for granted the blessing of being able to live a healthy life. Playing sports, competitions and jobs are all enjoyed by being healthy.   Coach Kawamura discovered the joy of being able to move, improve and become proficient in something because he was injured when he was still a student. The goal is not to compare yourself with others but to face and improve yourself. I hope we can achieve these goals together using T-FOOT products.   I’ve been fascinated with the depth of just the basic principles of ‘walking’ and ‘running’ ever since I started training with Coach Kawa...
